Classes and Workshops
Book your space in one of our classes or workshops through our online booking system or by emailing us at email@example.com. Upon receipt of your payment you will receive a welcome email.
Please ensure you seek medical advice before undertaking any Rise Hoop Dance classes or workshops. This is especially important if you have any existing health or fitness conditions or you have not partaken in exercise for some time.
All forms of dance, hooping and associated exercise may place stress on the body and carry with them the possible risk of physical injury. Rise Hoop Dance, its staff and the RHD chosen venue shall not be liable for injuries sustained during RHD classes and workshops. Should RHD participants have any preexisting injuries or health conditions it is the customers responsibility to have them cleared by a medical practitioner before class participation.
Rise Hoop Dance will not be held liable for any losses or damage to personal property.
Rise Hoop Dance participants are encouraged to take care of their well-being. Below are recommendations for maximum enjoyment of hoop classes and workshops:
Suitable clothing -
*Wear trainers, dance shoes or go barefoot. These are the safest and best footwear options for hoop dancing.
*Wear loose fitting clothing such as leggings, shorts and t-shirts.
*Jewellery can get tangled in clothing and hoops. Remove your sparkly jewels and keep earrings to studs.
Food and drink -
*Bring a capped bottle of water to keep hydrated. Sweet drinks and hoops don't mix!
*It is recommended you keep snacks light before dancing. If you absolutely have to bring a snack to class please keep it healthy to ensure a maximum energy boost when needed.
Possible bad weather disruptions and/ or cancellations of a class -
*In the event of bad weather, or any other circumstance which may cause a class cancellation, a decision will be made as early as possible. Notices will sent out via text message and email. A message will also be sent out via Rise Hoop Dance social media platforms.
The above terms and conditions apply and include the points below to ensure classes for children run smoothly and safely.
Attendance and Punctuality -
*Arriving on time is key. At the beginning of each class we go through our very important warm-up and practice our basic hooping skills.
*Regular attendance to hoop class is really important. At Rise Hoop Dance we encourage children to work on their own self-development as well as a group to facilitate team spirit and tight choreography.
Illness and absence -
*If a child cannot make a Rise Hoop Dance class the parent/ carer should contact RHD as soon as possible. This can be done via text or email. Please note a refund for missed classes will not be issued and while class swaps cannot be offered we will endevour to help you wherever we can.
*If a child is ill and not fit to dance it is probably wise for them to stay home. Anything missed from the class can be easily caught up during the next session. If a child becomes too ill to dance during a class a phonecall home will be made and swift collection from the class will be requested.
Dropping off and collection -
*Be sure to check class times on your welcome email/ pack
*Class will begin and end promptly. Therefore dropping off and collection times should reflect this. Please be on time to collect children from class.
*I would advise children to wait with a trusted adult if they arrive early to class.
*Parents/ carers should come into the dance hall to collect their child. Rise Hoop Dance staff cannot be responsible for walking children to meeting points or car parking areas.
Behaviour expectations -
*Rise Hoop Dance classes and workshops are a place to learn, dance, have fun and get creative. We therefore have a few rules to ensure everyone who attends can feel safe, feel happy and thrive to be the best they can be. Children are expected to demonstrate tolerance and respect for Rise Hoop Dance staff and fellow dancers. A raffle system will be in place to recognise outstanding behaviour, attitude and citizenship. Parents and carers are expected to support and encourage the values of Rise Hoop Dance.

Hula Hoop Purchases
Hula hoop orders can be made in RHD classes and workshops or by contacting Debbie at email@example.com.
Your hula hoop will be made once payment has been received and cleared.
Please allow at least 5 working days for your hula hoop to be made. This may be extended during busy periods.
Hoops can be collected from Bristol either in class or from our BS3 workshop.
Hoop tubing and tapes are subject to availability. Please check with us before placing your order.
Hula Hoop Use and Care
Take care of your hula hoop and it will reward you! Your hoop will bring you lots of fun BUT it is not a toy. Children must be supervised by an adult when using a hula hoop. It's important to know that over time your hoop will sustain knocks and scratches. However, to keep your hula hoop looking tip top for longer its is recommend you avoid using your hoop on concrete and tarmac surfaces. This is to avoid hoop tape becoming scratched and torn. In addition, keep your hula hoop away from pets, hot cars, radiators and direct sunlight. All can lead to warped hoops and damaged tape.
Your hoop is not designed to be pulled, stretched or dragged between two people. This will lead to a mis-shaped hoop and possible fracture of the tubing or connection.
Lastly, hoop in a space where you have sufficient room to spin. Avoid areas with ceilings and light fittings, glass tables and your favourite ornaments.
