Hi, I'm Debbie
I entered the hula hooping world in 2010 when a friend pointed me in the direction of Emma Kenna at Hooping Mad. From that very first workshop I was hooked. How could I resist? Hooping allows me to connect to with my playful inner child. I guess you could say hula hooping makes my heart sing.
Get Active with Hula Hooping
I have since set up Rise Hoop Dance Bristol; teaching classes and workshops that empower women and children to get active and embrace their creative flair and individuality.
Be the Best You Can Be
I’ve been working in education for over 16 years. I have a degree in psychology and most I recently worked as a primary school learning mentor. I just love fusing hula hooping with engaging learning for personal development. Why? Hooping is a fantastic way of facilitating people to enjoy exercise and shine bright so they can be the best version of themselves. You can find out more about the benefits of hooping here.
Learn, Grow, Perform
I run unique workshops for schools, youth groups and like-minded businesses. I create a nurturing and inclusive hooping space to facilitate connection, exploration and creative expression.
I love to choreograph hoop dance routines and hoopers have performed at Colston Hall's Stages Dance Festival, appeared on TV and have supported community events.
When I'm not spinning in circles I can be found rambling across the Somerset countryside, throwing yogic shapes on the mat or capturing pretty images with my camera. Nature and movement make me one happy lady!
Come and join the fun - hoop yourself happy! To find out more contact me.
